Jeff Welty

President

Jeff Welty is the President of Client Benefit Insurance Services (CBIS), a family-owned, independent insurance agency in Santee since 1982. Jeff oversees the direction and day-to-day operations of CBIS.

Jeff’s career began in 1976. Specializing in employee benefits, he developed packages that enhance employee benefits and reduce employer cost, combining the power and traditions of Colonial Life, IRS-approved strategies, and technology. He is a member of the BBB.

Shannon Cummings

Account Manager

Shannon joined CBIS in 2008 and runs the day-to-day of the agency. She is the account manager for group health, handling new and existing benefits for employer groups, carrier contacts, and customer service.

She also builds and maintains the enrollment databases that keep employee data, plan elections, and carrier files organized. That technology work is what makes open enrollment and ongoing changes run cleanly for HR and employees. Client satisfaction is her priority, and she is the person most groups talk to when something needs to get done.

Property & casualty

Matt started in the business in 2004. He focuses on property and casualty insurance and handles auto, homeowners, life, workers’ compensation, liability and much more.
